Sonrisa Grill at Lake Las Vegas is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day

A day at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson means waking up to the sun glistening on the pristine lake and far from the noise Strip of Las Vegas.

Since I came to live in Las Vegas in 2008, Lake Las Vegas has become one of my favorite places. It’s very classy and is surrounded by stunning natural beauty and it quickly became a familiar and very romantic place for me to visit.

On a weekday I reach Lake Las Vegas to enjoy my day and made a stop for lunch at a beautiful Mexican restaurant called Sonrisa Grill.

Sonrisa Grill is authentic South of the Border cuisine focusing on a number of innovative and healthy traditional dishes and fine seafood, all while enjoying the spectacular view of the lake.

The staff began their work, as I was the first customer of the day. They were very nice, several of them spoke to me in Spanish while they brought the traditional chips and salsa.

I asked for recommendations and our friendly waiter explained to us the different menu options and the most popular dishes in the house.

We decided to order a plate of Shrimp in Garlic and Beef Fajitas. Everything was delicious and with authentic Mexican flavor in Las Vegas. Yummy!

It’s the only Mexican restaurant in the village and is decorated in vibrant colors, and there is a 7-foot tall fountain in the center. The restaurant, which seats about 200 people, has upstairs, downstairs and outdoor seating in addition to the main dining room.

The entire restaurant has a great atmosphere including The 3 Amigos Tequila Bar, a full bar with a large variety of Tequilas.  They also organize parties, celebrations or receptions with lots of options for everyone.

In this beautiful place are also several hotels, shops and beautiful restaurants like Sonrisa Grill, located in the heart of Montelago Village at Lake Las Vegas.
