Off Strip buffets that won’t break the bank

Vegas isn’t just about the gambling, parties and drinks; it’s also about food, more specifically, the buffets.

One of my favorite things about Las
Vegas are the buffets. I go at least once a week to a buffet off of the Strip because they are great, cheap, offer awesome food, and the specials for locals are good as well.

Their prices are usually affordable for everybody. Between $9 to $20 gets you in, and then you are free to enjoy as much food as your stomach can handle. Even better, many of the casinos send out 2 for 1 coupons, making it an even better deal.

If you want a special discount for the food and gaming, at the entrance you can sign up for a player’s card. That usually comes with some great deals inside the casino.

Vegas has some of the best buffet spreads in the country, each boasting an array of foods that’ll take you on a culinary tour of the world. Here are some that I go to quite regularly.

Buffet Rio
If you’re looking for the biggest possible selection of food, don’t miss this popular place. We love going there just for the massive selection alone. However, it isn’t only huge, but it tastes great too. To me, this is the first place that comes to mind when people are looking for recommendations.

The Palms
Unbelievable prices for good quality and overall delicious food! This buffet is small compared to other places but with a Palms card it only costs $13.

Red Rock
It’s probably the best of all Station Casinos “Feast” buffets. Another very large spread, and everything is very delicious. The service is quick and attentive. And the price is totally reasonable. I particularly enjoy going there for breakfast.

Texas Station
The Texas Station Buffet is a homestyle buffet. Great barbecue and Tex-Mex! Brunch is probably their specialty. We go there a lot because they are generous with their comps and offer great customer service.

Sun Coast
This place is amazing for breakfast. I love eating breakfast out and this is fantastic – for $6.99 with a players card, which is free of course.

Fiesta Henderson
The Henderson location is head and shoulders above the one in Las Vegas. There’s an excellent, large selection of choices of food from breakfast foods straight through to lunch and dinner.

Arizona Charlie’s
There isn’t much variety and it’s very small buffet, but it usually has good and fresh food. Their service is almost always top notch. They have the best bread pudding in Las Vegas, and that always keeps me going back.

Sure the places I have listed might not rival, in most cases, some of the fancier places on the Strip. But if you are looking for a place to get into and out of easily, and at a great place, these are some great alternatives. Most people will find a place that does their favorite food the way they like it best, and that will become their go to buffet. All you have to do is get out and find who best suits your tastes!

  1. Thank you for this post! Another helpful tip is use smellar plates! I have no idea who thought these HUGE plates were a good idea, but we use the smellar salad plates as our regular plates. Also, always look at the label to see what a portion size of that product is!
