I took a trip to the set of the upcoming reality boxing show “Knockout” for a meet a greet with the fighters and trainers that will be involved in the show. This was the last day of filming, so everyone was pretty relaxed.
The last time I got together with these guys, trainers Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Ruben Guerrero had to be separated before they could get into a fight. And I heard that they kept at it during the filming of the show as well. On this day, they did some more trash talking, but everyone remained calm, and no punches were thrown. I was even brave enough to get between the two of them to take a picture!
I admit, I am not the biggest boxing fan, but the show seems like it will be fun. Just watching Floyd Sr. and Ruben Guerrero argue is entertaining enough. Hopefully the rest of the show will be as enjoyable.
“Knockout” is supposed to begin airing in April on NUVOtv. It is basically a bunch of fighters looking to make it to the top, working with Floyd Mayweather Sr., Ruben Guerrero and Yoel Judah. The winners are supposed to get a fight against a top opponent at a later date. Check out MyNUVOtv.com for more information.
I also got to spend some time talking with former champion Ricardo Mayorga about a few things. He is one of the most controversial fighters ever, and when we spoke, he had a lot of crazy things to say about Don King and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. He even called out Floyd Mayweather Jr. in our interview!
