CRISS ANGEL Believe is presented in the 1,533 seat custom-built theater at Luxor Las Vegas
The 90-minute production includes some of the most amazing illusions ever-presented onstage, from Harry Houdini inspired escapes, to the newest of illusions straight from the imagination of Criss Angel, including making an actual motorcycle appear onstage.
As the show began we were entertained by a funny little fellow, joking around and having fun with the audience, then Criss Angel came floating down and the show began. It was funny, entertaining, a bit racy at times and everybody had a great time.
The first half of the show plays as a live magic stage show. Angel displays lots of charisma and jokes with the audience. He’s likable and has a very engaging personality.
He had people chosen at random by throwing balls or marked paper into the crowd determining who could come up and make sure the demonstrations were “fair.”
During the show, he spoke about his parents and how he fell in love with magic when he was a child.
The second half, actually it’s the majority of the show, is dark and dreary. I like the theme and accompanying visuals, but there are few light moments and comedy to break it up.
There is more than 100 combined years of magic show experience among the illusionaires at CRISS ANGEL Believe, and is the only show that uses pigeons and doves in its act.
Costume pieces are treated with a flame retardant product to protect the costume and artist from any stray pyrotechnic sparks.
As an avid motorcycle enthusiast, he has accumulated an extensive collection of custom cycles. Experience the many sides of Criss Angel through his collection of bikes now on display outside of the theater.
Criss Angel has performed more hours of magic on prime time TV than any magician in the history of television. That’s more hours of TV than Houdini, David Copperfield, Siegfried & Roy, Doug Henning, and Penn & Teller combined. His acclaimed series MINDFREAK on A&E was the most successful magic show in television history – six seasons, and over 100 episodes.
Angel has been awarded more magic awards than ANY other magician. Among his accolades are: Magician of the Century, Magician of the Decade, Innovator of the Decade, Magician of the Year (6-times), Youngest Magician inducted into the Magic Hall of Fame, Living Legend Award.
He can be seen nightly at the Luxor in the world-acclaimed production, Criss Angel BeLIEve by Cirque du Soleil.
