His face is well known in Las Vegas, especially on The Strip, where advertisements for his show adorn billboards, taxis, and every other method of advertisement you can imagine.
Anthony Cools is The “King of Sociability,” and his high energy performances have left more than one person coming back for more. He is a longtime performing hypnotist that pushes the limits of the mind and body.
Cools extended me a cordial invitation to his show at the Paris Hotel and Casino. I had the opportunity to talk with him privately for a few moments before he started his show. He was very friendly, with a great sense of humor.
After the greeting, I was invited to go backstage, where he introduced me to some of his performers. I took some pictures with him for my blog RosarioKnows.com, and he gave me one of the best seats in the house so I could enjoy the performance.
I couldn’t help but notice during our time together, his very flamboyant shoes. They were white and black, and they are definitely another of his trademarks. He is a total showman!
On stage, Cools’ great personality shines through. His charisma and sense of humor breathe life into hypnotism, which you never could imagine could be so much fun!
Of course he couldn’t have a show with out people to hypnotize. So the first order of business is to get some volunteers for the show.
Once the volunteers take the stage, he quickly gets to work putting them under his spell. It is very important that all the people that go on stage do so willingly. It is very easy for a person to ruin the experience if they are just there to make a scene, or do not believe in hypnotism.
For those who are not able to concentrate, Cools politely asks them to return to their seats. Ultimately, he is left with a good group of people that will give the audience exactly what they came to see.
He’s great at tapping into the carnal desires and subconscious naughtiness of the audience members who elect to participate and take part in the show. The results are quite hilarious and make for a great time inside the Anthony Cools Showroom!
Some of the things he did included handshakes that elicited different responses from each participant, and other very adult oriented skits that he is famous for, and I am a little embarrassed to put in print. It is definitely not a show for the easily offended!
Body language is a very important aspect of the show as well. It allows the audience to understand much better what it is they are seeing. Coupled with his unique sense of humor, it really adds to the experience.
Because of the nature of his show, Cools understands that some shows will be more difficult than others, considering he has no idea what the group of volunteers he gets will be like. But by the end of the show, you can be sure he will have achieved his goal of giving the audience a great show.
It is quite admirable that Cools has been able to have his show running for over nine years in Las Vegas, the longest of any hypnotist show here. With changing tastes and intense competition, it is a testament to his talents that people keep flocking to see him perform
