Vivido Gelato at Boca Park in Summerlin
We are ready to eat our Gelato, the Italian version of ice cream and it differs from American ice cream in a few basic ways.
One aspect in which gelato differs from ice cream has to do with how much sugar it contains, with gelato having perhaps 10 percent higher sugar content.
Other than that, gelato and ice cream share the basic attributes of being made from frozen milk, cream and other ingredients, sometimes including egg yolks. But because gelato is more dense, its flavors can be more intense than ordinary ice cream.
Finally, Ice cream is typically served frozen, gelato is typically stored and served at a slightly warmer temperature, so it’s not quite completely frozen.
My favorite are coconut and raspberry. Best gelato ever!
Vivido Gelato offers excellent customer service, and a nice and clean establishment. They also offer guests a HUGE selection of flavors to choose from. I am definitely recommending this place to everyone who is a fan of gelato (or ice cream).
Ice cream legally has a minimum of 10 percent fat, gelato is made with a greater proportion of whole milk to cream, so it contains more like five to seven percent fat.
Here you can find a lot of flavors of gelato and sobertto daily.
Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream, derived from the Latin word “gelātus.”
If you are in or near the Summerlin area, be sure to drop by. If you are not, it is worth the trip!
