Cruising under the sun in San Diego.

It was a 2 hour narrated tour, north and south bay. Fun, informative and relaxing. What a wonderful, leisurely way to spend my last day in San Diego! Wasn’t too crowded, more than enough room to maintain safe social distancing. Crew appeared to be doing a meticulous job of maintaining cleanliness standards, performing sanitization with sprays and wiping down all touch areas, like handrails, table tops, etc.

The announcer did a great job of highlighting every landmark, point of interest and history, along the way; he was very knowledgeable about every single detail and I loved the story of US Navy ship parked at 32nd Street Naval Station. It seems like I learn something new each time because, they have updated  narration with new historical facts about the city.

Also I really enjoyed seeing all the different Navy ships, the Dole ship, the sea lions, the fishing boats and going under the Coronado Bridge. It was amazing!

This professionally narrated tour takes you under the Coronado Bridge, past military ships, waterfront landmarks and marine life, for an up-close, in-depth look at San Diego’s scenic beauty and fascinating history.

Our luxury ship featured an open-air observation deck and an onboard snack bar serving snacks, soda, beer, wine and cocktails.

I definitely recommend get down early so you can find parking first and walk to the check in booth.

Every time I go to San Diego it’s on my fun day to do list and it was my second time with Flagship Cruise, a family owned business takes pride in their service and here’s a little bit of the story of how the Engel’s family came to own and build San Diego’s finest fleet and how they continue to entertain and serve the residents of and visitors to San Diego.

Flagship’s history dates back almost as far as San Diego itself. The beautiful, thriving city we know today has been shaped by many exciting transformations and modern innovations. And so has Flagship Cruises & Events. Their evolution touches almost every aspect of the San Diego waterfront: shipbuilding, tug operation, salvage, shipping, sport fishing and of course ferry and cruise services. Along the way, they consistently provided jobs and support for the waterfront community as well as greater San Diego.

Believe or not, it was a great thing to do during a pandemic and it sure beats the 110 degree temperatures of Las Vegas!

Check out there website and the next time you head to San Diego, be sure to take one of their cruises. You can see all they have to offer HERE. Thanks to all the staff that provided us such a fantastic day!
