I have seen several Cirque du Soliel shows so far, and for most of them I have been highly entertained. I also am a huge fan of Michael Jackson, so seeing the two come together for ONE was something I was very excited about!
Having seen some other Michael Jackson tribute shows before, I was aware that they could be very hit and miss. So although I was excited, I was also aware of the possibility this show might not deliver. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case as this was not only the best Michael Jackson themed show I have ever seen, but it was the best show I have seen in Las Vegas, period!
Although I was already a fan of Michael Jackson, that certainly isn’t a requirement to enjoy the show. I couldn’t imagine anyone not having a great time.
ONE isn’t exactly a pure Cirque du Soleil production like you might see for Mystere, O, or Ka. Instead, it is more like a tribute show like LOVE was for the Beatles. Therefore, the focus is more on the music, choreography, and vision inspired by the legendary performer.
One thing I would recommend doing is getting to the show a couple minutes early. There are some pre-show activities going on that the crowd really enjoyed.
During the show, the sound of the music is incredible. It has been completely remastered, so everything sounds brand new and it goes along perfectly with all the dance routines. Also, just like in the LOVE theater, each seat has front and rear speakers, so you are totally immersed in the sounds of the show.
For any show about Michael Jackson, the choreography must be fantastic. As the dancers broke out many of Jackson’s signature moves, I found myself dancing along with them in my seat! I was having such a great time!Another thing that really stood out for me about the show was the way the stage looked. It was so awesome and had wall-to-wall projections, along with some 3D holograms.
There are so many great things about this show that I could go on forever. Like I said before, it is the best show I have seen in Vegas, and I have seen quite a few! It totally blew away my expectations, and I was so happy about that. 
Even after the show was over, I was still thinking about it for days later as I listened to Michael Jackson songs at home again and again. Although I will obviously never have the opportunity to see Jackson live, this was a pretty good substitute. I am pretty sure this will be a show I see more than just once.
I would just like to thank all the people at Cirque du Soleil for putting on such a great production. Their hard work to their craft and dedication to honoring the memory of Michael Jackson totally paid off. If you are in Vegas visiting, or are a local only able to see one show in the near future, ONE has to be at the absolute top of your list. It is absolutely what you expect to see when you go to a big Las Vegas production.
