Professional BMX rider and television personality Ricardo Laguna and his friends recently put on a great bike show for an assembled group of children accompanied by their parents. But the performance served to do much more than entertain. It also had an educational purpose.
Land Rover Las Vegas and ThinkFirst Nevada joined him in an effort to educate young people about making safe decisions while riding.
Ricardo took the opportunity during his appearance to advise children on the importance of helmet use when handling a bike.
He even presented me with my own helmet at the performance. Now I only need a bike (in pink. I’m a girl. Haha)!!
Kids had the chance to meet the BMX star and receive a free helmet from ThinkFirst Nevada. Additionally, Laguna and friends performed a BMX demonstration, and there was also other entertainment for everyone. Included was a magic show by magician Seth Grabel and funk-style dancing by Angel Escamilla.
