Beat the heat of Las Vegas at Wet ‘n’ Wild water park

Here I am, Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas! It’s about a 20 minute drive from the strip, and its marked with multiple billboards along the freeway to point you in the right direction.

Special thanks to Nancy Katz for allowing me to attend Wet and Wild.

There is still time to visit Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas before the season ends! Nevada’s largest water park is currently open for weekend operations Saturdays and Sundays through September 29th.

Families and thrill seekers alike will find common ground in the water at Wet ‘n’ Wild. This playful water-themed amusement park offers more than 25 slides and attractions on 41 acres, only 25 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.

I love that the park looks extremely clean. All the water slides looks bright and colorful.

Among the attractions awaiting park goers area wave pool, lazy river, a toddler pool and a seven-story speed slide, among others. Additionally they offer great amenities such as plenty of shaded areas, private cabanas to rent and misting systems, showers, changing facilities, lockers, family restrooms, lost & found, tube rentals and more.

It looks like every water slide requires a tube to ride with an exception of Canyon Cliffs and kids splash kingdom water slide.  Guests wait to receive those tubes at the end of each ride, collecting them from other guests who have just finished their turn.

Parking for all autos, motorcycles and RVs is $5.00 per vehicle, except for Gold Pass holders, 15 passenger vans and buses which are admitted free of charge.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas has two parking lots for guest use. The first is located immediately in front of the park’s main gate. The second is located a short walking distance on the north side of the park.

There’s also plenty of places where you can get order food. Prices are moderate, with combos starting at about $6 or $7 for a cheeseburger or hot dog combo.

Adrenaline addicts will enjoy slides such as the Rattler, a three-person ride down more than 360 feet of fun, twists and turns. The slide shakes riders, delivering sensational oscillations as they make their way to the splash down pool below.

Attractions:

– Canyon Cliffs – two speed slides with trapdoor releases

– Colorado Cooler – a 1,000 foot-long (300m) lazy river

– Desert Racers – a 360 foot long (110 m) multi lane racer water slide with 6 lanes
