The final week of Riviera Hotel and Casino pays homage to the 60 outstanding years of entertainment at the Riviera Hotel & Casino.
From the star-studded ribbon cutting with Liberace in 1955 to the filming of some of Hollywood’s biggest films, including “Casino,” (1995) “The Hangover” (2009), “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery” (1997) and “Ocean’s Eleven,” (1960), to performances from the likes of Mickey Rooney, Debbie Reynolds, Loretta Lynn, Olivia Newton John, Louis Armstrong, Tony Bennett, Drew Carey, the Beach Boys, Dennis Leary and Dean Martin, who once owned a minority stake in the property, the entertainment history of the Riviera Hotel & Casino is one of the richest in Las Vegas.
Built in 1955 for approximately $10 million, the Riviera Hotel & Casino was the ninth casino and first high-rise casino built on the Las Vegas Strip.
The renowned property is honored to be one of Las Vegas’ top entertainment destinations – there are “No ifs, ands or…” about it.
Celebrating 60 years of non-stop entertainment, the Riviera Hotel & Casino is one of the most iconic casino and hotel destinations here. Located on the north end of Las Vegas Boulevard.
