It was a very different and special tour. This has always been on my list to explore. I’m a huge space and NASA fan.
It was not crowded, I guess due to Covid-19. There were a few places closed but we were able to get around to all the areas. Plenty sanitizer stations so you could always keep your hands clean.
Looks like they has implemented safety protocols to ensure a trusted space for the well-being of their crew and guests. Good Job!
Visiting is a must and you learn a lot about NASA and space travel, the past, present and future. What a great place to learn about astronauts and what they have to endure including a simulated launch. They also have a couple of 3D movies. I learned so much about our endeavors into space.
The equipment displays, presentations, and video programs were first class, easy to understand, and told of the tremendous successes, occasional failures, and technological benefits to each of us.
We wish we had more time to see everything there. Seeing real sized spacecraft, including the shuttle Atlantis, made for a very worthwhile visit.
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the visitor center at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It features exhibits and displays, historic spacecraft and memorabilia, shows, two IMAX theaters, and a range of bus tours of the spaceport. The “Space Shuttle Atlantis” exhibit contains the Atlantis orbiter and the Shuttle Launch Experience, a simulated ride into space. The center also provides astronaut training experiences, including a multi-axial chair and Mars Base simulator. The visitor complex also has daily presentations from a veteran NASA astronaut.
The awesome complex is operated for NASA by Delaware North and is entirely visitor-funded. Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center are operational spaceflight facilities. Hours of operations, tours and attractions are subject to change at any time, with or without notice, due to operational requirements of these facilities.
The Space Centre is an excellent museum, and very good for children. Make sure you go on the simulator.
Well done NASA! Thank you for giving me a life moment!
