From bright lights to finely decorated trees, The Magical Forest at Opportunity Village truly embodies the enchanting spirit of the holidays.
It is a winter wonderland with over a million sparkling lights, nightly entertainment, great food and endless holiday cheer.
Visitors will encounter a forest filled with hundreds of dazzling trees, a Forest Express passenger train, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, Boris the Elf’s 3D Experience, Snowflake Mountain Slide, Rudolph’s Raceway, Rod’s Mini-Golf, Magical Midway, nightly entertainment for all ages, photos with Santa in his workshop, a wondrous gingerbread house display, free parking and more.
The forest is my favorite. It’s fun to look at all the lights and decorations and see which Las Vegas company has donated them. You can also take the train through the forest. I also allowed my inner child to come out, as I posed for a picture with a couple of the characters who can be seen wandering throughout the place.
What is particularly cool about this display (and the new Halloween setup they started this year) is that not only are you getting to enjoy a truly beautiful Christmas presentation that is unique to anything else in Las Vegas, but you are also supporting a great cause at the same time.
Opportunity Village is a charity that is very close to the heart of so many people in our city. It’s primary focus is to help those with intellectual disabilities lead a life that before had never been attainable. A variety of programs have been created to allow them to do just that.
So if I can see some beautiful scenery while helping out at the same time, I call that a great evening! Make sure you do the same, and also take some time to know what Opportunity Village is all about. The work is never done and they can use support in more than just the holiday season.
