Glittering Lights are back at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to kick off the Christmas Season

Christmas is said to be the best time of the year and at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the tradition goes even farther, with an expected 1 million lights shimmering as people share in the joy of the holiday.

I had the opportunity to get a sneak peak on Nov. 14 along with other invited guests, and from what I saw, visitors are sure to have a great time taking in all the festivities this year’s incarnation has to offer.

The speedway located at 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is scheduled to hold its annual Glittering Lights holiday drive-through event Nov. 15 through Jan. 5.

Hours of operation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is priced to be an affordable, family-oriented Christmas experience.

Admission for vehicles is $15 Monday through Thursday and $20 Friday through Sunday, including holidays.

A portion of the proceeds will also go to aid Speedway Children’s Charities’ efforts in funding children’s nonprofits throughout Southern Nevada.

Live actors portraying the birth of baby Jesus are part of the drive through exhibit!

Fantastic event! Extremely impressed with Glittering Lights Las Vegas – great job!!!

Invited guests at the Nov. 15 event got a special treat as we were pulled on a trailer through the exhibit.

This event has been a part of people’s holiday traditions for years. It’s the type of event where families can bring their kids and enjoy the holidays with beautiful light displays and holiday music.

Ricardo Laguna, professional BMX rider and television personality was at the event too.

Mo5aic helped kick things off, entertaining those in attendance with a great acapella performance of Christmas classics!

Discussing with Mo5aic the possibility of my joining the group.  Luckily for them, they declined to hire me!

Several vendors were on hand offering snacks for guests in attendance.  Carraba’s offered a great dinner, while B Sweet Candy Boutique and Popped satisfied our sweet tooth.  To help keep us warm, the BadAss Coffee truck was on location.

Be sure to check these guys out as they offered a great product to those in attendance!
