The weather is perfect and the geology of the Las Vegas valley and surrounding landscape lends itself to some great hiking opportunities.
On a beautiful day recently, I took my dogs by Fort Apache and Blue Diamond and we walked to the mountain where we got a great view of the entire city.
It feels great to escape from the casinos and take a hike at any of the many places throughout the valley and see the natural beauty of the desert. Taking in the views and also getting a little bit of exercise along the way is the perfect way to spend some of your free time.
So take a moment out of your busy schedule and joy a hike somewhere in Southern Nevada, and don’t forget to be prepared with a lot of water.
