Beach Boys concert and Fun After 55 Good Vibrations Expo
Sunday night, the Beach Boys, well the Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and David Marks version, brought the sandy surf of California to South Point Hotel and Casino.
All of the famous guitar riffs, melodies and ocean-deep harmonies are faithfully recreated right before your eyes and ears.
The Beach Boys, one of the world’s most legendary and influential bands played many of their more popular songs like: “Surfing’ USA,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Kokomo,” “Barbara Ann” and more.
For five decades, America’s first pop band to reach the 50-year milestone has recorded and performed the music that has become the world’s favorite soundtrack to summer.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, The Beach Boys are an American institution that is iconic around the world.
During the concert I had the opportunity to met the famous singer/songwriter Mac Davis as well. Folks may remember him for writing Elvis’ hit “In the Ghetto,” or for singing “It’s Hard to be Humble.”
I was so excited in the concert, as were the other six thousand people in attendance.
