Apple Pie and Hot Chocolate at Mount Charleston

I have been here many times, and  always liked it. When it comes to Vegas, there’s almost no better escape than going up to Mount Charleston, especially when the weather chills out.

I’m a fan of making the trip up the mountain for some awesome photos and drinks.   The only reason needed to come up here is the desire to take in a scenic ride, enjoy the views and grab a special hot chocolate and apple pie.

A wonderful place to enjoy a hot drink while playing in the snow. One of my favorite things here is the hot chocolate and apple pie.

I ate my apple pie a few times before in the Mount Charleston Lodge, which is a cute restaurant.  It’s cozy, featuring a fireplace in the middle, and bar service. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The historic Mount Charleston Lodge is located at 7700 foot elevation at the end of Highway 157 at the top of Mount Charleston. The Lodge is a nice, rustic restaurant where you’ll see plenty of bikers, families, couples and large groups of diners wanting some good food and a nice outdoor patio with a view. If you want an escape from the hustle and bustle, this is a perfect spot.

Great place to bring out of town guests anytime of year, especially during summer to escape the heat, and winter where you’ll find lots of snow…

Mt. Charleston is a good daylong getaway from the desert. I loved it and can’t wait to go back again and again!

The drive up is a nice change of scenery as you go from the desert to the mountains.

The Resort on Mount Charleston is another beautiful place. I always stop in on my way up Mount Charleston. The mountains form a great backdrop. And the lobby with all the space and raw timber makes a great impression.
