7 Reasons why you should play golf at Spanish Trail Country Club

A few months ago I started to play golf at Spanish Trail Country Club and my experience at the golf course and all of its facilities, as well as the people has been awesome.

Located at the corner of Tropicana and Rainbow,  it is so much more than just a golf club.  They also offer amazing tennis facilities, a fitness center, great food, a pool, and so many more incredible things!

I knew very little about golf until Mr. Jerry Roberts, Las Vegas Golf Hall of Famer, gave me a golf lesson at this beautiful place.  Since then, I have fallen in love with the sport.

Spanish Trails offers something pretty unique.  They have three separate courses of nine holes that allow golfers to get a different experience each time out.  The different combinations available are great, and when they have to do repairs on one course, you still have the other two up and running.
In this article, I would like to share with you some of the many reasons you should play golf yourself, as well as why I am sure Spanish Trails Country Club will be the best option in town with their 27 hole course.

Golf stimulates passion and addiction. If you think it’s not exercise, just read every single one of these reasons why golf is (or may be) the best sport ever.

1- It makes you friendlier. You can chat and mingle while you exercise on the course. Golf is a sport meant to not only keep you in shape, but to also share moments and emotions with family and friends. After 18 holes and a 4 hour-game, it’s time relax, grab a bite, and perhaps enjoy a glass of wine or beer.

2- Nature. Golf has the best views. Golf is a tranquil activity in which you are surrounded by nature. What can you see? From water handicaps and pine trees to mountains, lakes and more.

3- It improves concentration. Swinging a golf club is a cure for stress. Every player must study himself and all the elements that take part in the game, from the wedge to the air. This self-analysis teaches you how to remain focused, forget your outer worries and improve your mental health. A few hours playing golf feels like mini vacation.

4- To play a gentleman’s game. Golf is popularly referred to as a gentleman’s game. If you’ve ever seen or been part of a men’s league, you may have a different conception of the game altogether. However, golf as it is designed, governed and often played is a gentleman’s game.  Historically, men have always dressed in sporting or casual attire for golf and set out to play 18 with an ethic of care and gentility towards the course and their competitors/playing partners and with respect for the integrity of the game.

5- Anyone can play golf. It doesn’t matter if you are particularly tall or strong, all body types can succeed. Look on the PGA and L.P.G.A. tours, where the top golfers come in all shapes and sizes. It doesn’t matter what part of the world you are from. Age doesn’t much matter, unless you want to be a touring pro. Even a lack of flexibility or athleticism can be counteracted with savvy and skill around the greens.

6-  It provides principles. In golf there are rules that make you behave yourself, stay well-outfitted, and committed to protecting the countryside. These rules of etiquette may be applied to other aspects of your life as well. Golf makes you tidy and less hot-headed. It helps you control your emotions, in case your golf shot backfires at you, for example. It’s also good guidance if you are going through tough times.

7- It’s addictive. This sport releases endorphins. Golf is one of the few sports that can be enjoyed from your childhood to the very last day of your life. Due to its high level of difficulty, there will always be room for improvement. You will want to learn on a daily basis, perform exercises, read books and blogs, take lessons, etc. Golf will become a personal challenge for anyone who plays.

I believe golf has true value. It is anything but an idle pursuit and calls on casual golfers to deepen their understanding of and appreciation for the game, and implore those who have never picked up a club to give the frustrating, but beautiful, game a try.

I want to thank to Spanish Trail Country Club and their Marketing Director, Jeff Drothler for all the attention he has paid to me in my time at his course. This golf club has become my favorite place to go to when I want to play golf and enjoy nature.
